The Great American Mistake (Bush's presidency) gets corrected a little more each day.
LOL. Really? This has nothing to do with any president. Try baby boomers are retiring and leaving jobs open... The oldest baby boomers turned 67 this year and have been eligible for full SS benefits since they were 66. In case you haven't noticed, there are a lot of baby boomers and people have been complaining for some time that they are not retiring and getting out of the way for young people. THAT is what is now happening. It has nothing to do with politics. This was inevitable.

Fortunately, the biggest wave of them retiring is yet to come so it will get even better. I'm hoping the baby boomers retiring will kick Obama's languishing economy into high gear. Lord knows we can't count on Washington to do it.

I am a baby boomer. My husband and I have no idea if we'll ever retire and the others I know in our age bracket feel the same way. We've taken hits on our 401Ks, taxes, utility, food and medical costs are going up yearly and it's only going to get worst. Many lost their jobs a few years ago and went through what savings they have and are now working a part - time job if they did take SS at 62 1/2. Others are working a low wage full time job hoping to keep things going until they hit 66. We were the middle class! - now we're the lower middle class - and will be in the work force much longer than any of us expected.

Lets raise taxes on the 1% to late-90's levels first. Followed by a minimum wage hike.

So you want to tax 75% of the 1 %? Wrong on so many levels!

Not so fast:

Unemployment Drops to 5.9 Percent in September 2014. The national unemployment rate dropped to 5.9 percent in September, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That marks the first time unemployment has been below six percent since July 2008.
<li class="g">National Employment Monthly Update

www.ncsl.org/.../national-employ...National Conference of State Legislatures

Bushes number still look better after 6 years of Obama

They might discover they actually miss President Bush after they read this chart from the Department of Labor – Bureau of Labor Statistics.

"Decency" and "current administration" don't belong in the same sentence unless "lack of" also appears.

Sorry, but I don't afford decency to an administration that blows a trillion dollars on a failed stimulus, fails to respond to a massive oil leak for weeks, uses the IRS as political police, covers up a terrorist attack, sends guns to drug cartels, promotes a deserter as a distinguished soldier, makes recess appointments when there is no recess, wins liar of the year awards, changes the Senate debate rules, raises taxes on the small businesses that employ most Americans, illegally wiretaps journalists, and introduces sequestration but then blames it on the opposing party once it gets passed.

The labor force participation rate is lower than low. Median income is falling. It took half a decade to begin recovering from the recession.

But you want me to afford decency to the current administration? Get real. I don't care how far up your partisan backside your head is, the Obama administration is an abject failure and anyone able to spell the word "decency" ought to be able to see that.

Bush's numbers through six years look better than Reagan's too, but even the most delusional of the Bushbots wouldn't claim he's better than Robbie.

How hard is it to understand that the 2001 "recession" was a blip on the radar screen next to the 2008 meltdown? The U3 rate was 7.8% when Bush left office, and dropping like a rock. The only people who miss Bush are stand-up comedians.

these numbers are meaningless.
you want to know how many people are out of the workforce ?
just look at any major metropolitan area during the day.
millions of people with nothing to do all day.
how many more playing video games or chatting online at 2pm ?
