Sorry, there's not much point to this thread.

Just wanted to ask the question:

The White House's stance on NOT imposing a travel bans on West Africa is because people would find a way to get here anyway - and then not be able to be tracked.

So then, how is that any different than Obama's and Feinstein's formerly proposed (and probably again to be proposed in the future) Assault Weapons ban?

Are they saying that sneaking a PERSON across continents is easier than sneaking a gun as small as 16" long across international borders?

Are they serious? Or do they just not think their political stances through completely?

Or is this just more liberal hypocrisy?

Also, they say that if it saves just one life it is worth it. They don't take that stance with the travel bans though.

It's either political correctness over safety, or some sort of "agreement" with those hot zone nations.
Even other African nations have a travel ban from the hot zone nations.

Agreed.

How many lives did the Clinton Assault Weapons ban save? I think it's not known, but handgun violence actually increased during those years.

Yet, in the few weeks since the Ebola outbreak, at least two Americans are in serious jeopardy right now. And those two merely treated a liar while doing their jobs.

Of course, if we ban guns, no one would dare lie about not having a gun, right?
