At the time Obamacare was passed, many businesses with 50 or more employees went into panic mode and capped their weekly hours at 29 so as to avoid mandated insurance coverage for them. 30 hours per week, under the Affordable Care Act, is defined as full time.

Should the United States pass a law for 35 hour workweek (from current 40) and then require overtime pay if it goes beyond 35 hour? I think 7 hours of labor is enough for 21st century. It has worked well is many countries such as in France.
Forty hours has worked well, why is it too much for 21st century man?
