.You have more reason to fear your federal government than you do a bunch of terrorists.

No. How do you prepare for a terrorist attack? I don't worry about terrorists or prepare in any way for an attack, though if I was still living in Manhattan I would be more concerned than I am now.

Yeah but pretending there is a boogey man out there (muslim terrorist or homegrown christian republican terrorist) is certainly easier, itellectually, than thinking about your own political choices and the ramifications of said choices.

Easier to focus on the chupacabra than to look in the mirror and see the half witted retard staring back at you...which is why I never look in the mirror.

I have acquired everything I need with my last purchase. I bought a hand operated egg beater at a yard sale. If the power is out I won't be at a disadvantage. I won't miss breakfast. It can also be used as a defensive weapon to scramble the brains of any would be terrorist, and prevent him from remembering where the trigger is, let alone be able pull it. I never did like crowds. I retired to a fortified, class A, concrete bunker with enough food, water and medicine to last two years before I have to peek outside and see what's left.

I don't care about another terror attack in some American cesspool. I don't even care if the Russians invade (and I live in Alaska). I think the Russians have better social policies and they are working on getting their fiscal policies ironed out.

China I am afraid of, their govt is still very much communist and tyrannical and im not chineese so I would not fit in like if Russia were to invade. I am also in the process of learning Russian not Chineese.

Our social and fiscal policies are so backwards I don't think there is any hope of recovery, all elections will do at this point is change the rate of the decline.

Yeah, I got my poking stick that I just whittled this summer so I can poke poke poke at them. You know how annoying it is for someone to keep poking you? They'll be running away in tears in no time.

Not really. I just know that one day life will not be as we know it anymore. The things we argue about will become mute points. The survival will be what matters.

You are right with what ISIS wants, getting U.S. involvement to get more recruits and to try to beat us again like Iraq 2, and soon in Afghanistan. Cheney/Bush's interfering in the Middle east, and Obama continuing with it is foolish. Obama, Bush, Cheney, Kerry, and the Congress are idiots with foreign policy, and unfortunately current U.S. foreign policy in the Middle east will continue to lead to dead Americans, needless wars, and unnecessary U.S. exposure to terrorist attacks.

Well Obama made it too easy to lose Iraq after we had won it.
Could be ISIS needed a challenge after that being too easy to hold their interest and they need more excitement.
