Kim K. is filthy rich and beautiful....that's a damn sight better than 99% of the female population of this country. If that's damaged, gimme all the damage i can handle. AAhh yes, there is always one or two that have to take what you say and streamline it to make it seem like it was meant in another way. I think your response fell flat on your face. My examples of races are supposed to show the contrast that someone of a certain race may act in a Hood or Heathen way but not all are like that. It's just like how you say fast food is wrecks one's diet but not all fast food does. I'm showing that there is always another end of an extreme spectrum. Don't read and interpret what you want. Just read what I wrote. As far as your view of the world, I'm sorry the military life failed you.

The fact that this country is still so racially segregated speaks volumes to the racial climate of this nation. Why do people still make a big deal about interracial dating? Just look at the Kardahshians and how much of a big deal people make about Kim Kardashian's attraction to Black men. If Kim had a history of dating White guys than nobody would care yet dating Black males is still somewhat taboo in this country. I personally know brothas who tell me how uncomfortable their White girlfriend's families are when she introduces them to her family. Sadly some of these guys have to bend over backwards to make the some of these Whites feel comfortable due to the negative stereotypes Black males get in this country. It's a shame that people still have to go through this in 2014.
It's easier for people to rebuke other's experiences and feelings. Like I said in an earlier post, we as a country have become complacent in the fact that other people suffer and feel that we should just suck it up or pretend that suffering doesn't exist. Whether it's race, homophobia, or women feeling uncomfortable in public around men, people are always going to rebuke another's concerns and feelings.

This is something I am having a hard time with. I am a black young male who grew up as a Military Brat. I lived most of my life in different European countries. Growing up race was always an after thought it seemed like. I guess for me I am pre-disposed to think differently because of how I lived. It was very common for an Asian person to be married to a White person who are best friends with the Black people next door whose children's Hispanic and White friends come over to spend the night (I could go on and on). Scenarios like that are soooooo common growing up on a military base. Other Military Brats understand this. I guess you're forced to try and get along when confined to the perimeter the security gates. We were not without our social problems, but we (or at least us dependents) were so blind to color and at least showed sympathy towards one another.
Here in America it seems to be so much different. So my question is this, specifically from Whites and Blacks, why do you HATE each other. Yes various black people have hood and heathen ways, but not all of us are like that. Yes various Whites think they are the sweet and delicious nectar of the Gods and deliberately oppress others, but not all are like that also. So with that being said, what is driving all of the hatred. For a kid to dress up as a KKK member for Halloween is disturbing. (link at the bottom) WHY, honestly, WHY. I just do not understand where all of this hatred could possibly for the love of God even come from. Why is there so much effort taken to put others down.
Why do you feel and think the way you do about other races and what have been your experiences with them? Seriously guys/gals, if you consider yourself an adult, act like one and keep it civilized. This is a chance to gain a perspective from someone else's eyes and ears.
My number one wish, although controversial, is for a poll for the USA to be taken. It would say, "should we go back to the Jim Crow days?" Unfortunately, the polls may be very one sided depending on race. I would start an anonymous poll on here, but the little voice in my head says I shouldn't.
It depends on where you live. Where I live (although it is predominantly white), no one seems to care what color you are or who you marry. It is the opposite of what most people would think. We have a black drug rep who is married to a white local girl. When he goes home to Houston, he says he gets some "looks" due to being a mixed race couple. No one cares about that here (I am puzzled as to why anyone would care). I am a little shocked that anyone in Houston (as it is a large metro area) would give a crap either.
In my experience, MOST black folks in our community act like white folks. I would say that the majority of my "favorite patients" (compliant, hard working, good natured) are actually black. Thus the "stereotypes" from the media do not seem to apply. There are the occasional thugs and most of the violent crime (although it is a small population) seems to be among a small, predominantly black area.
The military has always been a good "melting pot". I have noticed that the children of military personnel usually have no regional accent, as they are from EVERYWHERE.

My only thoughts on race is, I wouldn't have one single thought on it if no one else kept bringing it up one way or the other.
We, of every color and race, ALL chose to keep racism alive.
...and anyone who says that race relations are worse now than even 15 years ago is an idiot. Plain and simple.
