I would say when Bush was in office and they tried both democrats and republicans contact congress in record numbers saying no. That was when McCain who support made his famous "we got it" comment. In reality no one of either party wish to vote. on it ;so it will never see light of either floor for vote. With congresses poll numbers its pure rhetoric issue now.

It wouldn't surprise me. I've been burned out on the whole political crap but checked in. They may make a bogus show of "closing the borders" but a show will all it will be.
