In the state of Michigan it is illegal to have a campaign yard sign 100 feet from the polling place entrance.
There are campaign yard signs on the property of the polling place within 100 feet of the polling place.
I told the people at the place, they said yes that they have had complaints, but that it is legal for the polling place to have signs on the property and further claimed that it is 100 feet away from the primary entrance -- which it is clearly not. It is at most 50 feet (16 paces of a good stride).
Who do I contact? Since the people at the polling place are fine with it?
I also just contacted my local government offices to ask why there are political yard signs on government property (the government owns the polling building for my precinct).
We'll see if the cops think it is 100 feet.
