This is the GOP's chance to get the middle class back. Get on the side of labor and the working man.

Your thought process is out in left field if you don't think for one minute a resignation or impeachment is coming before he's out in 2016.

Obama is a criminal & he will face the charges that are awaiting him.

I can't help but to laugh at this one. But time will tell. Cruz is going to raise the Impeachment flag along with a few others. But Boehner and McConnel will never allow it.

Few Republicans in Congress actually support impeachment. And only one-third of the public supports it. Impeaching Obama would actually help Hillary or whoever runs for the Democrats in 2016, and would turn a lot of public support away from Republicans.

I do not believe Impeachment is going to happen. Without a just cause. But excuses on here and now don't matter what any of the excusers think or feel.

People are much smarter then Obama actually gives them credit. People are tired of the Blame Games par none, the excuses, the lies, and the deceit of this administration.

Never knew any important facts which each new scandal they brought to us. People have spoken and have had enough Period.

Tire of the Bull, the childish in mature arrogant stubborn attitude of this President. The lies, the deceit and the blame games. The scare tactics to younger women, older people and people of color. People had enough of the Bull.

And for those of us who know Obama's personality, he is not happy today.

I think both parties have accurately assessed the intelligence of the average American. And it is pretty low.

This team sports attitude surrounding American politics is a sickening development that simply shows how far we've come in achieving any significant political maturity. The GOP won some seats, big deal, did their supporters just go home and turn on the TV and resume their daily regimen of reality shows, sports, NASCAR, and shopping? Yes, for the most part, and they won't hold "their" team's feet to the fire any more than Obama's supporters held him to his empty promises of "change"..Government= A huge pile of money on the table, and everybody is watching----- TV.....

Over the last fifty years I've lived under the two parties I have yet to see a time of prosperity for working families that went beyond the rhetoric and promise of meager proportions. Jobs went overseas under BOTH parties watch, prices have risen to heights that have put housing out of reach for the working class families, medical costs are still out of the park for most workers, taxes are still too high for workers when compared to what the upper class contributes. This kind of lopsided treatment of the lower classes of workers is contrary to ALL of the politicians promises of a better life for workers.

Unemployment: Here's a good example of just how crazy people are becoming, on the one hand they know that BOTH parties have given the nod of approval to a mass of corporate work transfer initiatives beginning in the fifties, but they don't want government intervention so the government doesn't intervene, then they want the government to "do something" about unemployment. It is in this vein that the insanity of party politics continues while America is set up for a continuing slide to an inevitable darker future for our grandchildren.

I don't care who gets elected, but, whoever goes to work on a menu of promises without the oversight of those they made promises to we'll never see any meaningful change. Hold ALL politicians feet to that fire, every day, don't let up on the pressure you can bring to bear on your party, be it Democratic or Republican.
Great, great post. More people here need to read this. I suppose it won't convince them though. When someone has their head so far up their own ass, no amount of logical thoughts presented to them will penetrate their skull and actually make them start to think.

Surely ignorant black voters (let me be absolutely clear, I mean black people who are also ignorant, not saying all blacks as a whole are ignorant) helped Obama greatly. But ignorant white people also make up a large amount of the Republican base. Anti-intellectualism in particular is a problem I see among conservatives far too often.

The culture of ignorance helps both parties roughly equally. Probably helps Republicans a little more, because there are simply more white people in this country, but I'd say it's close enough. Not that it matters anyway. A vote for either party seems silly to me at this point.

GOP gerrymandering creates uphill fight for Dems in the House | The Rundown | PBS NewsHour

So my guess. . .its more of a reflection of politicans moving away from the will of the people, and to the will of the party, supported by districts that will ensure re-election no matter how bad a politican they are.

Welcome to the future of democracy

and you thought your vote didn't count before.
So it's all just gerrymandering?

What about the senate?

What about the governorships?

Last night, for the first time ever, the Nevada legislature flipped to Republican control. First. Time. EVER.

Still going to blame gerrymandering for the crushing defeat - on all fronts - that the Democrats suffered last night?
