the repubs do not want to cut education, they just want to get rid of the department of education. 2 different subjects completely.

5. I am terrified at the incompetence of Obama's foreign policy- he should be ashamed of his glib, puerile comment to Mitt Romney regarding Russia in the presidential debate. Lets not even get into ISIS, China, etc.

6. Because Obama has been a total fraud in terms of limiting government power. His increased use of drones, etc. has been worse than Bush. Limiting government power is the one thing I could have supported him on, and he turned out to be just another hypocritical, power hungry lefty. Let us not even talk about the IRS.

7. Because I would like the Keystone pipeline bill passed.

8. Because I believe that a sovereign nation defends its borders.

9. Because Obama's carbon tax ideas would be an absolute disaster for the economy.

10. Because Regan's economic plan produced a far more robust recovery in two years than Obama's has in six (with the much, much greater problem of stagflation).

11. Because a socialist economy (call it whatever you like- I don't want to quibble over terminology) is unsustainable. We are watching the collapse of Europe in real time, and foolishly adopting policies that make us like them

12. Because I believe in federalism.

Really, I could go on and on, but why bother? I understand that you intended this thread to have a certain degree of smugness, but perhaps, just perhaps, you can see that other people with equal (or even superior) intelligence and education to yourself actually sometimes see things differently on principle.

And if you don't, prepare to lose even more elections, because, despite what you may have heard, the GOP is not going anywhere.

Peace.
All this, plus...

13. I wanted to re-elect our female governor.
14. I wanted to elect our black senator.
15. I wanted to make sure the IRS is under control and out of politics.
16. I want a party that won't say "what does it matter" when Americans are killed.

I supported the Republican Agenda in the 2014 Midterm Elections because:

1. I wanted to see the leftists here at CD *****, lie, squirm and cry.
2. I wanted to see the leftists here at CD *****, lie, squirm and cry.
3. I wanted to see the leftists here at CD *****, lie, squirm and cry.
4. I wanted to see the leftists here at CD *****, lie, squirm and cry.
5. I wanted to see the leftists here at CD *****, lie, squirm and cry.

Among other reasons.

Liberalism has proven to be a failure once again.

People are less voting for Republicans as they are voting against Obama, in that same way in 2008 they were less voting for Democrats than they were voting against Bush.

Obviously this thread was written by a pot who was trying to call the kettle black.

What he should be doing instead is trying to figure out a way to change democracy to where it doesn't suck. Of course, you would think if there was a way to fix democracy, it could have been done sometime in the last ~225 years. Yet, it seems to be getting worse instead of better.
The irony is, anyone who voted for Obama, because he was the anti-Bush, in truth voted for more Bush policies than Bush himself was doing.

1. because I am tired of the left constantly pushing their fascist/socialist agenda
2. I believe in immigration reform, but not amnesty for people that committed a crime
3. I believe that success/ failure is an individual trait, and not everyone can be a winner
4. I believe that my healthcare is my business, not the governments
5. I believe that when I work, I am the one who earned that money, based on the agreement I have with my employer on what my value is, and I don't need the government trying to increase their cut.
6. I believe (as the founding fathers did) that our government should be a small unobtrusive government, and that freedom to succeed or fail is my right, I don't need the government doing everything for me.

I supported the Libertarian Agenda in the 2014 Midterm Elections because:

1. I want a Supreme Court founded on adherence to precedent and strict construction, not tokenism and mediocrity
2. I want the power of the public employee unions drastically curbed
3. I want the "safety net" retained, and financed as necessary, but disbursed at the lowest possible local level, without Federal interference.
4. I want all education privatized, with a voucher system for those who can't afford it. (Good-bye, NEA, and good riddance!)
5. I'm sick of hearing small entrepreneurs stereotyped as "haters" and "teabaggers"
6. And I'm fed up with a "cult of personality" that evokes comparisons to the Fascism of the Thirties

Any other questions???

Now ask what type of person can make you ashamed to admit to being Republican.

I am independent. Besides, I was not 100% serious with the comments, especially with #4 & 5
