That makes me wonder how much money was wasted on that college education.

Conservatives didn't vote for George Jefferson because they were racist.

Movin' on up.

These are the moments that make me ashamed to be a teacher.

Lol...not to worry. Everything's going to be just DY-NO - MITE!!!! Honestly, the level of ignorance in American youth is appalling. My son just graduated this year, and were it not for me, and the extensive library left me by my Dad, he wouldn't have learned about WW1 , II, Korea or Viet Nam. Let alone any real, domestic history about the Revolution, war of 1812 , and certainly, not an objective view of the War Between the States.

It was bad when I was in school 30 +years ago. I finished high school in CA, and "civics and government" was a joke. Oh, we certainly studied Viet Nam under the teacher I had. Using material like Jane Fonda movies. One assignment we were given was to watch such a movie, in class, and then present the "teacher" with an essay about the war, and its impact on the country.

I refused to do it. At least in the manner he wished, which was America bashing , leftist dogma he wanted us to regurgitate back to him. Caused a bit of a stink.. In the end, I was given an alternate assignment. In his firm belief that his views were unshakeable, he assigned me to do an essay on how the US could have won that war, and how I would have accomplished that.

Enter my Dads library, in which I found Nguyen Giaps book. Peoples War..Peoples Army. It wasn't hard to come up with both a military and political counter strategy from there. I wonder, if any high school age students theses days, could even come close to answering who Giap was? Since they probably couldn't answer which presidents presided over the duration of Viet Nam, I doubt it.

History has been a target subject with leftist/Marxist "educators". Followed closely by "Civics and Government". After filling their students with blissful.flower power, and total ignorance of our history , as a nation, they then encourage these skulls of too to "get out the vote". Meaning, vote far left Democrat, and worry not from there. All will be well.

Its frightening, and a strategy that is loudly denied by the left, who squeal like piglets about "education" , "knowledge" and "free thinking" , all the while assuring our youth has none of the qualities needed for these things. Ignorance IS bliss....
