My step father never ever hit a woman in his life....but my own maternal mother was just like that woman, she hit everyone, all the time, and when he lost his temper and hit back, he hurt her...why, b/c he is a man.

The reason a woman like that acts the way she does is because she is used to men not retaliating against her. She knows that most men will just cover their faces and cower before her. Passivity has enabled her violence.
Maybe that slap and the ensuing fight and arrest will make her pause the next time she decides to victimize an easy target, a moral man, on the train.
bunch of animals....how did slapping her back get them anywhere....doesn't change anything and will probably make her worse, it is in fact their culture....and if the parents teach them this at home, then that will be the way they are, but it has to start with parenting....

These women are animals, and made that way by their parents....if you want to stop this type of thing, then start with good parenting skills, b/c nothing is going to change that woman....she will probably end up arrested, and also pass this onto her children....it is a never ending cycle that needs to be stopped by good parenting skills.

OK, a guy should NEVER hit a woman.....even if the guy's health, safety and well-being is at serious risk.

If there was a women acting like a monkey and hitting me with a purse i'd slap the sh-t out of her too... i don't care what your gender is, don't act like a freak in public and expect everyone to just sit back and pretend they aren't bothered.
