Uh....no, it's not. If you can prove that there is some reason that black people and other minorities are somehow unable to obtain a free ID to go vote just like every one else, then I'll concede you have a point. Until then, not.
Then any photo ID from any state should be valid, but that is the people of Texas's right to require that, just like it is Washington's right to require all gun sales to require a background check.
Unless you don't have an ID from the state you are voting in with your picture on it.
Your hypocrisy is starting to show.
You know, I really can't understand why blacks and minorities see the Democrats as their party. lol, I mean, Dems don't even think blacks are competent enough to go and get a FREE ID!!!!!! And yet. Democrats supposedly are the saviours of the black community? What a joke......
And it's funny, you call ME a hypocrite for supporting voter ID laws but not background checks, and yet you don't support ID laws but do support background checks on guns purchases..... What does that make you? A hypocrite in reverse? LMAO

I am still waiting for you guys to show how a background check for purchasing a gun is a violation of the Constitution. I get that you don't like it, but not everything you don't like is unconstitutional.
So how did Washington violate the Constitution? There is nothing in the Constitution that says we can't require background checks for gun purchases.
It goes a lot further than just gun purchases...... Say I lived in WA State and you came to my home and I handed you a gun of mine to look at or shoot on my property? We're both criminals under I-594. Then, say you hand it back to me five minutes later? That's another felony for each of us.
594 is clearly an infringement, unenforceable, and unconstitutional.
This vote gave me warm comfort. With all the insanity the 2014 midterms brought, Washington is blue. And for those of you that don't like it, I wish you the best in your swift departure. Every time someone says, "that's it, I'm out of here!" I'm happy. We are growing so fast, the traffic is clogged and you're threatening to leave?

That doesn't make it an infringement or unconstitutional, it might be unenforceable, but that it is.
You're in Ohio. Why does Ohio care what we do in Washington State? We don't get involved in Ohio politics.
You're making the same arguments for this gun control vote that segregationists made decades ago. They had the majority vote on their side and argued the same thing that their violations of the Constitution were not the business of the other states. They were wrong.
No, it shouldn't, except in very special circumstances, like military, recently moved, etc..... The ID is to prove that you are who you say you are, and that you live where you say you live, so that you can vote where you are supposed to vote.... I can understand why Democrats would oppose that kind of procedure, () but that's the way it is.....
How many voters were disenfranchised by this law anyway? How many black Texas residents ( who had ID's from Kentucky or another state for some strange reason ..... ) were prevented from voting?
Regardless, this thread isn't about voter ID laws..... Let's get back on topic.

I don't oppose background checks. That's not Unconstitutional as far as I'm concerned, though I'm sure there are those who would disagree. It's the background check on all temporary transfers that is an infringement.
