Many songwriters write about their causes and beliefs. Glorifying killing and violence is evident in his songs. It reflects his character. I'll ask again, do you believe he was this gentle giant as his family says?

No, but if you're gonna say his lyrics paint a picture of his character, just be ready to say the same thing about a host of lyricists and writers out there, which I'd find ridiculous. By your logic, Tarantino is one of the most dangerous, violent animals out there.

If you want to learn about a person, listen to their words and watch their actions.

There's a lot of evidence that goes against this especially when it comes to writing. Think about it for a second. How many people has Johnny Cash killed? How many people has Biggie Smallz killed? Tupac? Stephen King? Quentin Tarantino? SLAYER? The answer is zero. You see where I'm going with this?

I never said he killed anyone. I just said it spoke to his character. Much of his lyrics talked about pot... Guess what? No one disputes he smoked weed.(I have nothing against weed) but he lyrics reflected his lifestyle. What do you think he was going to do with the box of swisher sweets that he stole? Maybe roll up some blunts?

Where did you all grow up?

I won't go into my family history, but are we all guilty by association? Is that not one of the issues being discussed here?

How many things have already been dismissed as false here against Brown?

To me this is one of the problems we have in society. People completely foreign to a culture judging it as if they are experts. Am I an expert on gang culture? No. My father lead us down a different path. But I grew up around EVERYBODY. And I know what it's like growing up around that culture.

If you can't find specifics on his criminal history, please don't speculate.

Why would you defend a man who tried to take a cop's gun from his hand while resisting arrest at a time when he was high on an illegal substance. If he had succeeded in taking that gun it is very likely he would have used it?

The pattern that I see here is that whenever certain facts of the case are presented, or there's holes being punched in Wilson's story, certain posters seem to want to deflect, and go back to demonizing Mike Brown.

That's what I notice.

Did anybody notice there were only 2 witnesses who claimed Brown didn't put his hands up when he was getting shot? This according to PBS.

My point is, just because someone writes about something, in no way means that their writings are a reflection of their actual character.
