I see a great future with having fellow citizens like this:

"......According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the largest group of people not in the labor force are those who don’t want a job, a remarkable statement on the nation’s work ethic......."

".........A Pew Research Center analysis out Friday dug a bit deeper........Pew said that 39 percent of 16- to 24-year-olds don’t want to work, up from 29 percent in 2000. Women especially don’t want a job, but men have similar feelings......."

Giving up: 40% women, 28% men, 39% youth don't want a job | WashingtonExaminer.com

On the other hand, 60% of women, 72% of men, and 61% of youth do want a job - what does the OP have to say about that larger group?

I'd like to see the gals and youngsters make the effort to get their numbers up to a more respectable position.

If they're 16-24, they are probably in school.
So people don't want to work while they are in school.

Notice how the people of working age DO want jobs?

Most don't want to work.

I offer $20 an hour for labor at times and still have a hard time finding reliable people.

The last dude that I offered a week of work to, after hearing him complain about being broke, was a no show day 1, never called and left me in a bind.

These 20 something year olds simply don't want to work.

Wow! I cannot relate to that attitude. I had a job all through school.

Try a temp agency next time. Most have people who want to work and have passed the e-verify system.

I had a job in school too... but it definitely did cut into my study time and I wouldn't have had it if I didn't need the money.
