Magnitude-4.7 earthquake rattles Arizona residents | azfamily.com Phoenix

I personally think all those earthquakes in Oklahoma( virtually between 3.0 and 4.0 with the majority being 4.0 exactly) are being caused by underground excavations. Pennsylvania has fracking and hasn't had anywhere near those numbers of earthquakes.

They have been fracking the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas since the 70's & 80's without earthquakes.

Geologist: History shows Oklahoma earthquakes not new phenomenon

Quote:
The earthquake swarm shaking Oklahoma right now seems to be similar to one that affected state residents more than 60 years ago, according to a geologist at Continental Resources Inc.

Glen Brown is passionate about geology.

So passionate that he started poring over U.S. Geological Service earthquake data while he was on vacation in Florida six months ago.

A chart of earthquake activity in Oklahoma from 1882 to 2013 is on display at the Oklahoma Geological Survey in Norman, Okla., Thursday, June 26, 2014. Earthquakes that have shaken Oklahoma communities in recent months have damaged homes, alarmed residents and prompted lawmakers and regulators to investigate what's behind the temblors and what can be done to stop them.
