That's what I'm thinking. This is where the equal protection clause comes into play. If some federal crimes are ignored and people are allowed to commit them and continue committing them, that would apply to all federal laws.

I remember reading Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" years ago and thinking "wow, this could have been written today!". It was a phamplet and one of the things that inspired the Revolution.

And I still believe it could have been written today since the issues faced back then are so similar to what is happening.

This country has gone to sh*t. It is a sad day in America.

Something else that worries me is the precedent this is setting. A president who abuses his power is something not to be cherish ("well he is doing what Congress isn't doing!") but to be feared. What else is he going to do that he feels justified because others didn't bow to his demands? What is this? A dictatorship??

The bottom line is if you are a working stiff, you are playing in rigged game. The government will use draconian punishment to keep you in line and living your wage slave existence while waving the flag and spouting a bunch of nonsense about patriotism while running a criminal organization that would make a third world dictator blush in shame.
They have passed so many laws that there they are literally uncountable, we do know they passed 40K new laws in 2010.

As a wise man once said long ago ...
“The more numerous the laws, the more corrupt the government.” — Gaius Cornelius Tacitus (56-117)
By that standard, the US is surely the most corrupt government in existence.

The masters, which government has become will exempt themselves from the same laws which make slaves of the people.
Our government is involved in every crime from drug smuggling, to blatant murder and tries to hold itself up as the image of law and justice. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

But it is your duty as a citizen to resist unjust laws.
Which time?

There has been two amnesties, one under Dems (for votes) and one under Pubs (for cheap labor.)

Two sides of the same coin.

You are exactly right on the highlighted point!

It is our duty to follow constitutional and common sense laws. We are constantly being told that we are a nation of laws, but this reality has been taken to the extreme; with laws being passed for the sake of law making. It has become absolute insanity designed to perpetuate a virtual war on citizens and fill the legal industry coffers.

We have become a nation being crushed by laws.

THIS ^^^^ should be bumped to the top of every page!

Common sense is timeless, progressive interpretation is irrational and nonsensical!

He also has a well established history of signing crappy laws on holiday eves when nobody is paying attention. NDAA which trashed habeas corpus signed on New Years Day 2011 at 2am.

Then he signed the latest version on Jan 2 late at night when nobody was watching

I asked my House rep this very same question. He basically rolled his eyes and refused to answer. I voted for him the first time because our long time rep had become corrupt but it is the last time.

I don't give a damn what party is going to do this action, in this case it is Democrat. It is pathetic, sickening, and disgusting. Why even obey laws at this point.

If laws are going to be made only to be broken, why have them? I only wish there would be an elected official to the office of Presidency, who would consider the needs and wants of what Americans want, before his own agenda. And do not kid yourself, this was part of his agenda all along. And the Country will go down the tubes faster then you can imagine.
