House Vote in Favor of the Keystone XL Pipeline an Act of War | Lakota Voice

“The House has now signed our death warrants and the death warrants of our children and grandchildren. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe will not allow this pipeline through our lands,” said President Scott of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. “We are outraged at the lack of intergovernmental cooperation. We are a sovereign nation and we are not being treated as such. We will close our reservation borders to Keystone XL. Authorizing Keystone XL is an act of war against our people.”

Do they? I don't think eminent domain will work on tribal lands.

We have a Black uprising getting ready in Ferguson MO.
We have illegals invading from the south into CA, AZ and TX.
And now we have the Indians getting ready to go to war with the US again in South Dakota.

Always something to talk about when it comes to "social justice" in the US.

Excuse me, when did the keystone pipeline suddenly become about social justice?

Why just now.

Maybe we can offer some beads for their land like we did once before.

Hyperbole much? The tribe is just trying to extort a few more bucks out of TC. Most tribes will do anything for some more handouts.

Sure. Let me know just how well that works for you.

This is not about social justice, thats nonsense. I'm not sure why you even tried that idea. This is about treaties, and eminent domain of tribal lands.

Unless the House vote actually takes the land from the tribe, the argument that its about eminent domain is nonsense.

Retroactively alter the treaty with the tribe? Yeah I think I begin to see their point of view more and more.

Will we also bring in the military onto their lands to defend the pipeline if they attack it?

You avoided the comment completely.

Does the House vote, actually vote to take away land from the tribe through the eminant domain process and is it effective, i.e. a matter of law?

I doubt it odes, but we all know its not the law of the land, hence there is no eminant domain being used or even threatened to be used.
