Typical fricken liberal, completely miss the point. Shocking.
No, fighting poverty is not "bad, uh huh". It's how you liberals choose to fight it. Your ideas SUCK and they FAIL to change anything.
Healthcare for "folks, also bad", no. Again, it's how you liberals choose to go about it. Your ideas SUCK and they FAIL to help the people you claim you're trying to help.
Just because we criticize the crap policies and ideas that lunatic liberals put forward doesn't mean we think the CAUSE is a bad idea to support, it simply means exactly what we say: Your ideas SUCK and they FAIL to change or help anyone/anything. You've had enough time to try it your way, it hasn't worked, step off and let someone else work on it now.
And your ideas are better? What are they?
You do know obamacare is primarily based on a conservative plan right?
Everything sucks is one helluva argument. What's wrong with you?
Everything doesnt suck. Maybe you think it does. Shrug.
Look folks, your team has the house and senate, what will they do that will help things?
When we talk about the war on poverty everyone here seems to think "oh hey do X and it will be better". Geuss what?? Odds are you're wrong. Giving money to them does help to a degree, but we're unwilling to give enough to change poverty. Oh yeah, we'll keep people bobbing along on the edge, but suggest free college and everyone goes nuts. Or money transfers. And yet its fine for almost all of the income gains for the last 30 years to go to the top. IE the liberal solutions wont be implemented sufficiently to change it. Obama is so far to the right that he will never implement a leftist solution. I hold up the ACA act as a example. The left solution was single payer, the right was the solution that formed the basis of Obamacare. Guess which solution is around now? Its not the one the left wanted.
The conservative solutions tend to be designed to move even more of the wealth to the top. Giving the top more money, is not a reality based solution. We've done that over and over.
So yeah, Im asking for those who are blaming the left to actually suggest a solution that doesn't involve the rich getting richer.

Sorry greywar, my post was pure sarcasm. Take note of what you were replying to.

but giving them any more will do nothing
giving them more (ie welfare) will do nothing, but make them even more dependent on the government, what we need to do is give less, and give them the incentive to actually work for a living
giving people more is not the answer...why is it that liberals always push for mediocrity...
look at the terrorists in Missouri...do you think they want to work, when they can loot and destroy, striking terror in the citizens
No in fact i dont. During the run up it was made VERY clear that the basis for it was Romney care, and the Heritage foundation plan. During presidential debates Romney tried distancing himself from it not on it being different, but rather that what worked for a state wasnt appropriate for a country.
Feel free to demonstrate that there are substantive differences. You know, prove it. Not just call people liars...back it up with some proof.

Why is it that non-liberals cannot comprehend that giving people enough to survive without any path for advancement is mediocrity? You know, heres your help that you need to survive, but if you work harder or more we take it away from you, and you end up worse off? Go to school? We wont help with that, get back to that minimum wage job! You know...the ones that everyone says are for teens, and elderly folks.....
Seriously though, giving people less is not a solution, either it will make them MORE dependent, and LESS willing to lose whatever they are getting, or it will malnourish or make them homeless.
Change things. stop reducing the help so severely on income gains. Stop subsidizing businesses with a minimum wage so low employees get welfare, etc. etc.
And pay attention to the fact that we dont have jobs going unfilled at the minimum wage level.....recognize we need more engineers and doctors for example-pay for college for fields where we need more people. Do things intelligently. Start pushing technical schools, and more.
Deal with the reality fo the world, not how you wish or think it should be.
Giving them more CAN be the answer. more opportunity, more education, etc.
