Instead of all these mandated fines, those who earn above $250,000/year income should pay for the Govt costs of funding free universal healthcare for all people. And those millionaires should pay like $150,000 each towards the healthcare for all people, then it's a free for everybody and costs finally come down, no?

No. I make MUCH less than the 250K you mentioned, but still believe it's MY job to provide for my health care. It's not your job or anyone else's to provide for MY healthcare, it's mine.
Besides, in all honesty, I believe what you are saying is nothing more than organized theft. Telling others that THEIR work isn't theirs, but their earnings have to be divided up and some of YOUR earnings given to someone else.
why is it so hard for people to understand. youre a grown man go earn what you want and need.
If that's the cure, why stop there? Let's enforce minimum housing purchases and minimum education purchases and require them to take 4 weeks a year of vacation, as well.

But I would itemize basic necessities (e.g. food at home, shelter, health insurance, etc) and use the 20th percentile of spending in each category for your household size sum each tot a total and voila. The 20th percentile of spending is an objective figure.
Which means if you are single and childless you might be paying taxes if you can afford more than a single room.
