BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore now has a Republican official, a rarity in the heavily Democratic city.
Frank Conaway, the clerk of the circuit court for Baltimore, announced Thursday he has decided to switch his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. He made the announcement after his swearing-in ceremony to a fifth term.
One way in which your parties are different is that while neither proposes large-scale economic changes, Democrats at least attempt to alleviate the consequences of the world-wide trend toward corporatocracy. Republicans just try to convince people toxic sludge is good for you.
The Dem party is trending progressive which not all Dems are in favor of.
Progressive?? What do you mean by that? HOW about whacked out stupid? Giving out amnesty to ppl that shouldn't be in this country is a losing proposition among all citizens.
He'd have a lot more integrity if he'd done this BEFORE the election. Not right after he's sworn in for a 4 year term after getting elected on the Democratic ticket.
The Democratic Party is becoming openly hostile to the people and the exercise of their free will.
What a great spoken post. But very true, they are openly hostile also to anyone, who does not agree with their cause.
And when we do express free will, there is all hell to pay, people are tired of this nonsense. Sorry the other side is not quite as bad. And democrats I do know, are also sick and tired of it, and make no excuses for it, like posters on this forum.
