Meh... As much as I disagree with Obama on many things you really can't blame him for this.

Why do we put our soldiers lives at risk and spend money trying to "save" people who willingly put themselves into such a situation? Same with the "hostages" recently released by North Korea. They should have been left to rot there.
I too don't comprehend those who feel "compelled" to journey to some of the most dangerous places in the world to take candid camera pictures, most of which, no one will ever see. A few of Sommer's pictures are on the Internet and frankly look like someone's vacation photos of the local culture/ color.

Who funds these trips? Is it possible some of these people are intellegence employees/ contractors?

Whole deal makes no sense to me.

This is the second attempt in two weeks. It has been reported that at that time the rescue attempt was delayed due to waiting on orders from O, and during that time Somers was moved to a new location.

"...the special forces killed all seven abductors and freed eight hostages. But the militants had separated Somers and four more hostages from the group and moved them to another location two days before the raid."

I wonder what the price tag is on this government failure?

I don't blame him on this one either.

I do question why it took him so long to authorize the earlier rescue. He hasn't impressed me as a decisive leader, and the delay was really unfortunate. Perhaps there was good reason, but it is said that intel was good, the Seals were ready and waiting for the order.

Why these people choose to go to these places as aid workers is beyond me. Don't they have local aid workers, people who are not hated?

And this operation went bad, the Seals tried a rescue attempt and the terrorists killed the American hostages.

As much joy as I get from mocking that clown in the WH, this is one time I agree that it was not his fault. You can't blame him for terrorists shooting the hostages. How on earth is that his fault?

It was worth a try. These two were going to die quickly anyway if we did nothing.

Well, six years of lost time and the bill is up to $18 Trillion. That's the failure you're speaking of, right?

Two more years before the correction.

Obama should have warned the SEALS that the terrorists had a dog who is a light sleeper and hates Bacon Bits.
