Trust is a vulnerable thing. Not saying the anti-vaxers are right or wrong, but they have good reason to have mistrust in the health industry.
Not every industry- especially healthcare, prisons, war, education- should be purely profit driven...
A 6000% increase in preventable diseases will be more profit to the healthcare industry.
If you want a conversation about trust, you should read this:

After years of controversy and making parents mistrust vaccines, along with collecting $674,000 from lawyers who would benefit from suing vaccine makers, it was discovered he had made the whole thing up. The Lancet publicly apologized and reported that further investigation led to the discovery that he had fabricated everything.
Where is the proof that the increase is due to a decrease in people vaccinating? Why doesn't anyone consider other known possible factors such as mutations? This "report" is very shallow. No substance whatsoever.
That is another possibility that is ignored. It's really ridiculous that people try to blame any increase on a decrease in people getting vaccinated. People assume this with zero proof and zero research. Many refuse to even consider any other causes.

Do you think if it were from immigrants, that these immigrants were vaccinated?
Under the immigration laws of the United States, a foreign national who applies for an immigrant visa abroad, or who seeks to adjust status to a permanent resident while in the United States, is required to receive vaccinations to prevent the following diseases:
Mumps
Measles
Rubella
Polio
Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
Pertussis
Haemophilus influenzae type B
Hepatitis B
Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices
Aren't vaccines science? I thought people loved science? A government organization tells me that man made climate change is all our fault...hook line and sinker. A government agency tells me that vaccines help stave off disease and save lives...big pharma!!! and all of the sudden you're a skeptic. Awesome.
Where does America's favorite scientist NDT stand on this issue?

A lot of immigrants bypass immigration laws completely. Besides that is just one possibility. There is evidence that pertussis for example has mutated and that the vaccine may no longer be effective. You can't blindly blame the increase on less people vaccinating. There is no proof that this is the cause.
