or are you that shut out of the world
None of those groups exist in a form that threatens the West if the West didn't interfere in the Middle East. We should have used the Taliban to bring the Al-Qaeda leadership to our feet, but no..."Democracy and freedom! patriots!!! Yaaa buddy stars and bars!" ruled the day.

I don't care if Kabul gets blown off the Atlas. Big deal.

Nor do I care about the aforementioned groups.

You're wasting your time in Afghanistan buddy. Keep taking in the contractor dough...I ain't mad. But please stop acting as if you're making a difference.

You aren't.

Pathetic. And it gets worse:

Congratulations my fellow Americans. You should be proud.

ISIS leader: "If there was no American prison in Iraq, there would be no ISIS"

Bullcrap-

Only a confused liberal would confer recognition and rationalization of barbaric acts and cruelty to an enemy.

This is the problem with liberalism. Liberals sincerely doubt the principles of US liberty and freedom and suggest that ALL NATIONS and ALL BELIEFS, regardless of performance, have moral equivilency.

Therefore the average liberal will rationalize and "justify" beheadings, stonings, lynchings, burning of prisoners, and extermination of Christians as being an "expected response" to treatment of Iraqi prisoners.

Are you high, or just very confused?

I'm not a liberal but after reading posts like these, damn it makes Government paid secondary education sound like a good idea. A lot of America has no critical thinking skills whatsoever, so when it comes to political views it amounts to regurgitating whatever cable news hosts say almost verbatim.

If we hadn't invaded Iraq to bring them some of that good ol' American "liberty and freedom" ISIS wouldn't be running around unchecked beheading people at will. If we had listened to the crazy Zionist neocons in the GOP we would have brought "freedom and liberty" to Syria and the black flag of ISIS would be flying in Damascus right now.

I have to say as a left leaning Independent, I once thought of this cat as the opposition, the Other, but once I started to read about him for myself I had to do some serious rethinking and reevaluations. So though at times, we may be ideological rivals, I can’t deny that I have a developed an admiration for the man. Without further ado, Dr. Ron Paul.
“I am optimistic about this policy shift by the US government but I am also very cautious.
President Obama also seemed to suggest that the US would continue meddling in internal Cuban affairs, stating that the United States “will continue to support the civil society” in Cuba. That likely means a deal to allow US NGOs in to Cuba to work toward regime change.”

The Ron Paul Institute:For Truly Better Relations with Cuba, Open the Door and Get Out of the Way!

This does tie into the overall theme of the thread about "humanitarian" interventions.

There were no ISIS, alCIAda in Iraq before the US led war crime.

The rape of Iraq was done on purpose. Look at all the national treasures looted from the Iraqi Museum. It was all transferred to this "created" state called Israel. Stealing culture, history etc etc.... To build this state.

As a left leaning Independent I must say I have had to do some re-evaluations when it comes to politics.

Especially when one has limousiners that have cable comedy shows lecturing people all the while sipping on their lattes in their gated communities.

While on the other hand a group that the mainstream media tags as kooks, conspiracy freaks and sometimes racist seems to actually turn out to be the group that resists the excesses of global empire.

"Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton faced off with Kennedy, Matt Welch, and Kmele Foster on Fox Business' The Independents Monday night and things got heated over the current crisis in Iraq and whether going in all those years ago was worth it. Kennedy grilled Bolton over the Bush administration's role in destabilizing Iraq, and Bolton shot back by accusing libertarians like themselves of "defending a dictatorship."

The Independents
