But why are they killing so many of their countrymen? Would'nt they just kind of focus on the enemy? Why so much rape and beheadings? I don't follow how killing children teaches the US a lesson?

Iraq needs to be Balkanized (broken up) into 4 states..

Sunni Arab Muslim
Sh'ite Arab Muslim
Assyrian Christians and Zorastrians in Ninevah province
Kurds of all religions

It is correct that "Iraq" was an artificial creation by the British colonizers. Fake boundaries still cause issues in Africa and South Asian too.
