Quote:
Developing nations must cut carbon emissions even if they feel it is unfair, US Secretary of State John Kerry said Thursday, warning of climate "tragedy" if quarrelling derails a global pact.

"I know the discussions can be tense and decisions are difficult and I know how angry some people are about the predicament they've been put in by big nations that have benefitted from industrialization for a long period of time," Kerry said in Lima, where tense negotiations were under way for a world climate pact.

"But the fact is we simply don't have time to sit around, going back and forth about whose responsibility it is to act.

"It is everyone's responsibility because it is the net amount of carbon that matters, not each country's share."

UN negotiators remain deeply divided on details of a deal to limit global warming to two degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) through curbing emissions of Earth-warming greenhouse gases.

The pact must be finalized in Paris in December 2015 to take effect from 2020.

I don’t like the guy. Just don’t like him. He is cunning and hypocritical.
You know what? I think he is using these argumentation about “oh, the developing countries should cut the emissions, I know it’s not fair, but we all need to pitch in” not because he really cares about environment or climate change (which is still a disputable thing). Oh, no. All this stuff is about being afraid. Afraid that the economy of developing countries will pass the US economy. So the restrictions are supposed to stall the process. And that’s it.

Kerry is a big government tax and spend liberal.

Which I find interesting, since as a young VietNam vet he was an anti big government tax and spend liberal.

Any excuse to raise taxes and eviscerate capitalism.

Funny Kerry says nothing about reducing the size of the fedguv empire which is largest consumer of fossil fuels in the history of the planet.
Its time for Kerry and his co-conspirators to shut the f up about climate.

Kerry is dumber than most dogs. That he has accumulated wealth and fame is a result of his willingness to betray his fellow soldiers and marrying into a fortune.

Anyone who believes that we measly humans can affect the CLIMATE of an entire planet are totally nuts. The climate changes...and has changed for 4 billion years...and it will continue to do so. The land masses (think, tectonic plate movement) has MUCH to do with our climate.
We will adjust. All living things in the history of Earth have adjusted to whatever the climate is...

climate change is natural...there is NOTHING humans can do to prevent the natural change

this is what the environment does (though not as SMOOTH)

warm (tropical) then cool (ice ages), then warm again....we are currently around the middle of the sine wave...we will get warmer...then we will cool once we hit the peak
