CNN is reporting he contacted media organizations.
-Calling himself "The Brother"
-He wants a ISIS flag.
-Wants to talk to the PM live on the radio on a "rightwing radio station"(Channel 9), made this demand earlier in the day apparently. He has contacted 3 stations in total.
-Claims he has 2 bombs. Two more hidden around town.
- A few people escaped and weren't released as first thought.
The escaped hostages will have provided good intel.
SWAT will take him out after it gets dark.
Do you think he'll get out of this alive?

Ten's Eyewitness News reported that there were two bombs in the cafe and two others placed elsewhere in the CBD, basing the information on an interview with two hostages who phoned the network. Radio stations 2UE and 2GB and the Nine Network carried similar reports.
If its just one guy he will surrender. I doubt he has bombs.
If 5 people can escape by basically running out the door, he's probably not the brightest.
That's their trademark weapon of choice along with an AK rifle though. IEDs, mines, bombs, explosives and munitions.
I'd take him at his word.....
