I'm curious to see how all the "rule of law" folks here will defend the actions of 3 cops and their leituent for beating *another* fellow peacekeeper, a distinguished veteran NYPD detective of 30 years. Please justify his beating after he cooperated, flashed 3 forms of ID and still was beat by he's "colleagues" (all while is son watched and others screamed "he's a cop". Please tell me that race has nothing to do with it, and that the system doesn't need to change. Oh yeah, no charges whatsoever.

Oh, and "stay classy..."

Insufficient information to reach a conclusion.

If you chose sides in this one just based upon one side of the story then frankly, you are part of the problem as much as the people always taking the cops side.

Frankly, the comments on there say a lot about us white folks and it isn't pretty. If we can't be intelligent in our dialog without muttering racial slurs, then we are also part of the problem.

How do you know it was "white folks"???

We do not know who is really running the key board.

Those cops should lose their jobs, benefits, pensions, and serve jail time.

Just like no black person should ever have to answer for the actions of another black person.....I have no ownership of some stormfront butthead posting garbage on the internet.

That's not the reaction the OP was looking for but it is hillariously ironic in light of the theme of the thread.

Actually, that is a good point. And people could be trying to bait the comments and stir the pot. The anonymity of the internet does certainly make that possible (and dangerous in that respect).

I have been screamed and swore at in a public meeting and despite everyone else being mostly reasonable, that one person really soured most of the rest of the meeting.

So regardless, it takes at least 10 "positives" to change the path of a "negative" .

So from that respect we do need to work hard, as far as we can, to keep dialog on point and not include the slurs and name calling and call those out that are doing such.

cd :O)

don't you think we need to hear both sides of the story and know for sure if this happened the way it is being reported before we judge? and who is saying the system doesn't need some changes? Most of us know there is always room for changes. We don't live in a perfect world.

Well the question is, "justify the actions" and therefore no one has been able to. If the actions are not justifable, then the next question is why weren't they punished?
