Not sure why the U.S. cares about Ukraine so much, Ukraine is unimportant to the U.S., and has nothing the U.S. wants or needs. All toying around in Ukraine with the Europeans will do is make the Russians more hostile towards the U.S. and its interests.
I read here in this forum and few other places that Qatar wants to export its gas to Europe by bypassing Iran and its possible only when they have control over Syria..The surprise rise of another extremist force within years and conducting blitzkrieg operations and Iran/Russia protecting Syria also raises eyebrows for the same reasons.

And Ukraine? Sevastopol/Crimea is the only quick passage for Russia into Europe/Asia. they certainly wont want NATO ships there. Stalin made a mistake of losing it quickly to Hitler, Putler wont

The aging populations within the developed world have global economic implications.

Future wars will be less dependent on humans.

No leader would seriously consider using nuclear missiles, even the leaders of North Korea that lead the league in crazy wouldn't be that stupid.

Great fodder for those that are desperate for what they think is a simple solution to more complicated problems. Go back and read what happened between the US and JFK in the 60's and how close we came to that reality, changed both countries forever.

Now back to the topic Putin's actions have put Russia in dire straits, he is popular for now but when people get desperate we will see particularly the Oligarchs that are pulling his strings. Time for Putin to eat his words.

'equal force of chinese'?

which battle was that?

Approximately 3 million Chinese troops took part in the war, and an estimated 400,000 to 1,000,000 were killed in the conflict.

The only bright spot I can find in this whole thing, is the Democrats occupy the central cities of the US. You know, the targets.
Pretty sick that you're glad democrats are going to be incinerated. What do you think that will benefit? It's not like the Conservatives in the South are going to rebuild the US. They can't even keep their own states out of poverty.

You remind me of the liberals back when Reagan was in office sputtering and shaking about how he was going to start a nuclear war with his "cowboy ways". Remember Phil Collins "Land of Confusion" video? It was all over pop culture.

Sheesh, go hide in your basement behind a years supply of green beans or something.

The US and NATO could not economically afford to fight a long term boots on the ground war in eastern Europe either financially or from a perspective of public support.

A large scale conventional war could be a win/win for Russia and a quagmire for NATO.

As a politician, Putin could redirect any anger concerning the failing Russian economy at the US and NATO and garner a lot of support among his own people. The US on the other hand has little stomach for war and public support would be against any involvement is eastern Europe.
Russia is in NO WAY a match for the U.S./NATO.
It's not even CLOSE.

As with nearly everything else they've claimed would happen, they are wrong again.
It's amazing how they are consistantly wrong about virtually EVERYTHING.

"Russia has proved time and time again that they are a military force to be reckoned with"?
You mean like when the Afghans sent the Soviets packing with their tail between their legs in a military fiasco so costly it led to the BREAKUP of the Soviet Empire?
Is THAT when they "proved they are military force to be reckoned with"?
