Do you know about all the crime in urban areas's? It seems to me they are eradicating themselves. But that doesn't fit the liberal agenda so lets just ignore that.

They don't seem to be very good at it then. The people in those areas are very efficienct with their eradication of each other though. Based on that, you might be better of with more of the unsuccessful eradicators and less of the very effective.
There are 100,000,000 guns in circulation in the US and you want to send cops out there without firearms? Good luck finding sufficient numbers of recruits.
I was thinking about this recently too... As another poster mentioned, in Great Britain only certain police officers with special training carry firearms. However I'm not sure if this would be possible in the US with the easy availability of guns on the street.
Ok, now we have a lot of cases where the cops exceeded the necessary powers, most likely.
The countries with the lowest crime rates also have the lowest armed policeman per capita. I've seen neighborhoods where it is unnecessary to have armed police, and neighborhoods where armed police seem practical. In America, it seems every police officer has a gun.
Should every cop be armed by a gun, according the recent events?
Yes. It should be one of the "tools" that they can select depending on the situation. What you may have noticed (or not) is that not every situation requires a gun, but when one is necessary it helps to actually have it.
