Well when their theater gets blowed up what will they say then?
Well, obviously it would be their fault, right? BTW, what do you say to women who get raped? Do you accuse them of getting what they deserve for dressing like that?
First, a backwoods, poor country that does not even have the resources to feed it's people three square meals a day, finds out somehow that a movie is being made satirizing their leader. So they somehow hack into the computers of the company producing it and wreck havoc with the info they find, all the while denying the whole thing.
Seems to me, that if I were making a low budget film with little chance of competing against the holiday blockbusters, some serious marketing would be in order. And being on a limited budget, what better way to market it than to stage a hacking crime, blame North Korea for it, get the press to blow it all out of proportion, and then release the film after millions or maybe BILLIONS in free marketing and press ?
First, everyone hears about the film, and second, almost everyone starts wanting to go see it just to **** off the commies.
Just saying.
Did Sony stage "The Hack" to get marketing and publicity ?
Wondered if North Korea is innocent after all, and Sony had a hand in their own Hack.
Talk about free publicity for a low budget film. This is approaching the free publicity and marketing that came with Last Temptation of Jesus. If so, then good marketing ploy.
