China never placed ICBMs 80 miles from our coast, nor were they implicated in the assassination of a US President. With that said, I believe the best way to promote freedom and democracy is by example. If trade is normalized betwen the US and Cuba, it might just be the fastest way to put an end to the regime.

Actually, the US cut relations first. Castro actually came to the US and crashed diplomatic parties trying to speak to someone to regain relations. He initiated contact again when Johnson entered the White House.

The missiles were installed after the US attempted an invasion.
