No matter where it goes or doesn't go those where it went need to be held accountable.

That is what it is about.

So why couldn't Issa tie the two together if it's so obvious? Ineptitude on Issa's part?

FYI Issa is releasing this because he's leaving as Chair. Has nothing to do with the conclusion of this investigation.

If there was nothing, I wonder why she continued to invoke the 5th.

Ok.... so nothing has been found thus far after all this time but the investigation isn't over yet. So this is more like a 'status' report of how it sits now. Is that it?

Lerner needs to explain to the American people what happened, then we'll know the truth. That said since the "lost" emails that were miraculously found between the WH, Treasury and the DOJ will soon be available it's sure going to make for some interesting reading.

After all this time, all the hearings and expense and all they have is Lerner. Surely there is more than just one lawyer at the IRS if this was so widespread.

Are you suggesting Lerner is a lawyer?
I swear I heard she is nothing and her husband was the high powered lawyer.

EDIT:

Take that back...

Lerner is a member of the Massachusetts bar, having earned her juris doctorate degree from Western New England College School of Law, graduating *** laude. She completed her undergraduate studies *** laude at Northeastern University.
Lerner began her career in government as a staff attorney in the Honors Program at the United States Department of Justice. She served as a Special Assistant in the U.S. Attorney’s Office where she was lead counsel handling felony and misdemeanor prosecutions. In 1981, Lerner moved to the Federal Election Commission, serving as the Assistant General Counsel for Enforcement, and ultimately as the Acting General Counsel.[1]
Lerner is a past president of the Council on Governmental Ethics Laws (COGEL) and an active member of the Humane Society of the United States.

I had to laugh at the bold part!
