I attended two police support rallies over the past two weeks.....not a single act of violence. We were however, shouted at by a group of "peaceful" lefties.
Joshua L. Williams, 19, is charged with 1st degree arson, 2nd degree burglary and misdemeanor theft at the convenience store. The incident happened after Berkeley police officers shot and killed Antonio Martin, 18, in the 6800 block of North Hanley at Mobil On the Run gas station.
So ..... who is this Joshua L. Williams? He is one of the "Protest" leaders in St Louis and a Media Darling and Hero of the "protest" and "movement". They sure can pick 'em.
This "protest" business is one of the biggest cons of the Decade. Guys like Williams are users, the 'clergy' are using it for fame and fortune .... donations pouring in and the media follows them around like little puppies. Arson, Looting, Burglary, Murder, Threats/Intimidation, Major Disruption all over the Nation in support of Thugs and Criminals.
Not fair to condemn all the other protesters who didn't resort to violence, hence the term "mostly peaceful"
There is violence in the ghetto everyday, yet most people in the ghetto are not violent thugs. They are mostly non violent.
Of course you can. It'll never happen, but if violence broke out at a Tea Party Rally,would you say it's a characteristic of the movement?

They might not commit crimes on a particular day, but MOST will commit crimes -- violent and otherwise. They are NOT the "noble poor." They are poor because of their lifestyle choices -- drugs, prostitution, theft, assaults etc

Majority of poor urban people are not violent criminals, you just discredited yourself and your post.

YES! "Stop it or die" even applies to white kids!
The civil rights protests were not actually peaceful. MLK and Ghandi purposefully antagonized the police in order for them to be brutalized. This made the public turn against the police and the established order. It's a brilliant tactic really.

WASHINGTON — The violent crime rate went up 17% last year, ending a general decline in violence that began nearly 20 years ago, according to a new federal survey of crime victims.
The Justice Department's National Crime Victimization Survey also found an 11% increase in the rate of property crimes, including household burglaries and car theft.
You will have that when the government creates such a huge gap between the have's and the have not's.
