They are asking the families to report to the search and rescue center. Foreign press is saying they found the wreckage. Plane's CEO is tweeting condolences. CNN was reportedly told it's a 95% chance it's the plane. Looks like they want to tell the families before making official public announcement.

update - they found it - bodies spotted. families being asked for photos and dna

The latest update is that only 3 bodies have been recovered so far (and not 40). Also the communications log suggests that the pilot was approved to veer left because of poor weather conditions. He then asked air traffic control for permission to climb to 38,000 feet from 32,000. There was no further communication after that.
