Awesome. Way to justify a life of laziness.

Hard work alone isn't always a way to success. Sometimes it's smart work. Sometimes it's a combination of the two.

But giving up because hard work is "hard" will guarantee failure.

Unsurprisingly, people on this board seem to have a deep-seated ignorance about what wealth inequality means and why it is a problem.

How Inequality Hurts the Economy - Businessweek
This Is How Income Inequality Destroys Societies - Business Insider
Economics: How does inequality matter?

It's not about jealousy, it's not about wanting what you have, and it's not about wanting to have things handed to you-- it's about having a more cohesive society where opportunities are available to anyone who works hard. Everyone should have the opportunity to pursue meaningful, profitable employment... but it just doesn't exist, at least, not on the scale that it could if society were equal (of course, this is the point where some genius inserts their personal anecdote/success story as if it somehow proves this isn't true).

Boomers who grew up during more equal conditions cannot appreciate how much the policies they voted for have destroyed opportunities, and created a climate in which the haves need to keep everyone else down in order to maintain their lifestyles.

Inequality was, is and always will be part of the human condition. It's not unique to America, nor is it unique to this time period.

It's funny how the very socialists who push this nonsense are multimillionaires. But socialism is for the people, not the socialists.

Why is there "inequality" between Stephen King and a writer for a neighborhood newspaper? They're both writers, right?

How about the "inequality" between Bruce Springsteen and a local garage band? They're both singers, right?

So I suggest that we all just work hard, worry about yourself and take care of business.

I really don't think that this is a more enticing package than slave labor in foreign dictatorships, because they will still have to deal with unions. If America somehow manages to make itself more attractive than slavery it will probably mean that America has finally become the slave market that corporations love so much.

A better approach might be to reverse trade agreements that lower tariffs for corporations that use slave labor and then ship the products back to America. The way it is now, they get the wealthy American consumer base AND the cheap-as-dirt foreign labor market... they shouldn't be allowed to have both.

Community education.

Destroy the corporate structure, as it is today.
A corporation is not a person. They are the profit center for the government. Structured to create monopolies and cartels, with price fixing.

Inequality has nothing to do with the human condition. I highly doubt that you have knowledge of any humans beyond a handful of your fellow Americans, so you're not exactly qualified to make those kinds of pronouncements.

The issue here isn't that everyone isn't making the same salary, it's that the gap between rich and poor is too wide. The gap doesn't need to be completely eliminated, it just needs to be narrowed.

No, I'm not concerned, because wealth is something that is created. It is not finite. One creates wealth for themselves by working, investing, and handling their finances wisely.

This whole "income inequality" meme is Leftist propaganda, used as an excuse for income redistribution schemes; i.e., increasing taxes on the so-called "rich."

You cannot help the poor by confiscating the wealth of others. That is immoral, it is theft, and it is wrong.

I see things a little differently......

First......generally....IMO.....most will not get very far in life just working for others.

Even if you have a "job"......always have a business too.

In time this will help with income.......but, the tax advantage starts at day one.

Buy only what you NEED........forget toys.

Invest that money in yourself.

Don't just look at today......have a five and ten year plan.

It also helps not to have children......or, at least have them later in life.
