Did the gist of this thread go over your head?

I wouldn't generalize by saying "most" or "some" or "a large percentage." It is the progressive wings of both parties who wish to dismantle the Constitution and foist their insane ideologies on everyone.

I always thought progressives are on the left not the right. Which would lead one to think those on the right are regressive?

When you're regressive, everything is bound to look progressive. Can't blame such folks for speaking what they perceive.

Books by ex Secretaries of the Treasury, books by people who know that trickle down is just what it is called, a trickle. Books by true conservatives like George Will and Pat Buchanan. How often do you see them on FOX?

Communism died in the nineties. It is discredited. Marx was an intellectual from a wealthy family that had a theory. There's only one thing wrong with a theory, it may not work in practice. Communism is a good example.

So please don't use the Red card, because you let Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Hannity define communism.

No we don't. Cons never go a whole day without finding something to be offended over. They're offended by so much trivial stuff it's amazing.

No, not the actual facts. What changes is the perception and in elections that's what's important
It's not "credence" that matters. Modern liberalism IS evil.
No it's not. Where the ones who love America. You don't see us fawning over Putin or taking the side of the terrorists over the President
Not really. 95% of the media is liberal and promotes liberalism.
Is that why Fox News has such high ratings? It doesn't matter what 95% of the media is what matters is who controls the media and that would be the cons
Well, if you're proud of it, tell us why you're a liberal. And then defend it against intellectual critique.
I do that here already
I would love it. It would mean something like 10 liberals would be elected to Congress.
Not once we got the word out
Despite your illusions, liberalism is not popular, except among the shallow and mindless.
When did I say it was popular? What part of the title do you not get? But since you bring it up the title really refers to just the title. The values of liberalism are in fact more popular but the word itself has been given a black mark

The result is that when a conservative runs against a liberal the conservative starts with a big plus. It wouldn't be like this if more Democratic candidates would be proud of being liberals and say that they're liberals and that they're damn proud of it. Remember during the Republican primary they were all claiming to be more conservative than the other? That's what Democrats need to do with being liberal

Does this really happen outside of the South, swing states and National elections ?

In a House race in a District that is D+30, i doubt it.

Like your being naive enough to believe that Obama who often mistakes himself for a messiah, displays many of the characteristics of a narcissist:

expecting constant praise and admiration;
has a grandiose sense of self-importance;
expecting others to go along with his ideas and plans;
lacking empathy and taking advantage of others to achieve his own ends;
regularly shows arrogant,
haughty behaviors or attitudes;
exaggerating his achievements;
thin-skinned as all hell.

Yep, that naivety to get tingles over ANY politician is offensive.
