The current government may be called liberal but is actually fascist and authoritarian; no liberal government would be a warmongering torturing police state and murder machine with a Stasi-like intelligence apparatus like this one is, nor would any liberal government give big corporations unlimited bailouts and force everyone to purchase corporate health insurance against their will.

I've never understood why identifying as being in the center is so appealing to some people, and for that matter I've never understood what's wrong with being extreme; "extreme" could just as easily mean extremely good as extremely bad .

It is odd how political view is wrapped up with character virtues or defects, and this seems to be especially prevalent on the left . Someone can have wrong ideas while not being a bad person.

There is no conceivable plain reading of the text that empowers the federal government to do anything about meth labs that aren't engaged in interstate commerce; that is under the state domain, and the legality of opening a meth lab would be handled at that level.

Ever? Really? Even after the 1920 landslide?

To quote Han Solo, "I don't know, I can imagine quite a bit" .
Constitution Acts, 1867 to 1982
If you read it then you will know. It has been used as a model all over the world as a blueprint for a free society.

Where is this happening? And how often? Cite a source.

The word "democracy" is not mentioned in the Constitution.

Really? That's the best argument you can come back with, to refute the point in question? Its hardly a state secret that illegal immigrants receive huge amounts of money, via the Soc Sec system. All across the country, every , single day.

Now, if you would care to justify your OP, and tell us all why we should accept your statement that this certain talking point you are attacking has no merit, other than your say so, I'm all eyes, as it were. Is taxation, without representation, to pase' a concept for your intellect? I'm just wondering, if that core issue, behind the talking point in question, if it is so beneath you, why bother attacking it? Starting a whole thread , even.

Just to tell us all you think a certain talking point , you think, is not worth discussing? That's a lot of thought , put into something you think is...silly. Interesting...

In fact there's a whole lot that's not mentioned in the Constitution.
That "not mentioned" in the Constitution, is that allowed under the Constitution; the same for most contracts.

For full constitutional protection, your meth lab should probably be in Washington, D.C.

It's simply another form of corporate welfare, backed by the taxpaying public.

Which is precisely why it's allowed to continue.

Where the wealthy and influential benefit, that becomes deeply entrenched, no matter the cost to the public.
