What you don't understand is that the Islamists have no problem fighting a perpetual war, and they have been doing it since the founding of Islam.
The history of Islam is a history of conquest. They have been slaughtering Christians and Jews for centuries. World domination is their goal, and they will stop at nothing to achieve it.
