As an example, graphic artists.. There are plenty of others/

Certainly.

Social work is a professional degree. To be a social worker requires college + licensure. I'd bet the unemployment rate for social workers is about the same as engineers.

I would bet you are wrong... I have family that are social workers.
I posted this link:

How to Become a Social Worker | Where to Start

The link indicates that both things I said were correct. You must have a degree-- usually a masters-- and be licensed to be a social worker. Read the link. If your daughter doesn't have both of these, she may work in social services, but she is NOT a legitimate social worker.

Furthermore this link-- http://money.usnews.com/careers/best...-social-worker -- indicates only a 4.2% UE rate for social workers.

Graphic artists are needed and do just fine. Who is going to do the artwork if they weren't around.

You claimed I was wrong. What did I say that was incorrect? Good grief, this is like pulling teeth. If you claim someone is wrong, back it up...

Yeah it is about like pulling teeth with you... I was referring to the unemployment rate... I should have however admittedly been more specific as to which engineering discipline.

Maybe you should look more closely at art, appreciate it and not degrade their work by calling them 12 year olds. Are you an artist. I certainly am not. And I'm in awe in what some of them do because it's a natural talent. You can't teach it, you can only nurture it.
