There is a mosque about a half hour from me that tunnels money to terrorists and I have thought of selling bacon sandwiches near there. Or maybe a few of my friends can dress up as pigs and eat bacon there. This would be funny.
I think every church should party with bacon... esp after a sermon involving Deuteronomy or Leviticus. That would be so much like the Christian "Race"!
"Muslim Labour MP Khalid Mahmood said: "I absolutely agree. That’s absolute utter nonsense. And when people go too far, that brings the whole discussion into disrepute."
Don't they publish a dictionary? Would they remove 'pork' references from that?
They probably have Moslem CDPOC version with little asterisks to cover the dirty parts.
I will say that if a book publisher (like Oxford) were shipping books to certain countries (Saudi Arabia, etc), then it would be wise to, perhaps, not ship books that may be patently 'offensive'.
I do take some comfort in the fact that the one Muslim leader quoted (in my link) said this was all silly. Oxford should listen to such voices of reason.
One cannot reason or appease nutters. For instance, if one tries to satisfy Islamic extremists, then they would also demand no books showing women driving, women wearing 'normal' clothes, women working, or, really, anything dealing with women. much less pigs.
