This is a bold face lie. A majority of the Black population isn't even involved of any of that. And until you can come up with empirical data that at least a majority of the Black population is involved in all of that, your statement will remain a boldface lie. And people who lie lose all credibility. You said 90% of all Blacks are involved in all of that stuff. Burden of proof is on YOU.
Enough to account for approx 75% of all homicides.
And there were around 12,000 homicides last year. BTW, half of those homicides are committed by Blacks against other Blacks. That takes it down to about 6,000 bangers. There are 40 million Blacks in the USA.

I can understand bad parents and bad choices being major issues, but I have to call out what you said about Black culture.
Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Juneteeth, Richard Wright, Ralph Ellison, Cornel West, Tavis Smiley, Dr. Ben Carson, they are all part of Black culture, and they aren't the downfall. I disagree with the idea that Black culture as a whole is the problem, because it throws many good things under the bus. I call out specifically the elements the cause the problems. The gangs, the "acting white" insult, and the "entitlement", that is all the underclass segment of the Black population. I make a distinction between Black culture and the underclass segment of the Black population. In fact, if you look at it, underclass "ghetto hood rat" culture, is essentially "redneck" culture transplanted to the cities.
I agree there is a lot more to black culture than thug life. But the problem is young black men. Do most young black men really care about jazz, gospel, juneteeth, Richard Wright, Ralph Ellison, Cornel West, Tavis Smiley or Dr. Ben Carson? Some might but most wont. Young boys want to act and look cool. And the coolest thing for them is acting "baller" and emulating "gangstas". They all don't become thugs but they sure support it and look up to that as cool.

And you can't blame the young men alone for this. Who is raising those particular young Black men to be that way? Or better yet, who ISN'T raising them properly? Most likely, those men committing the murders grow up with no man in the house, just a single mother. In many cases, the mother doesn't know who the father of the child is.
Go to a Juneteenth celebration and tell me there aren't young Black men there?
And can you prove most young Black men have no idea who those said persons are? How many young Black men are you around? Where are you when you are around them?

I'm not disagreeing with you. The bad "thug" culture is coming from the underclass. But that bad culture makes the most noise and is not beat back by the law abiding people. That "thug" attitude is almost held up with admiration not with just black people but also whites and Hispanics. America has a long history of romanticizing outlaws and violence and that needs to stop now. Look at Japans culture. 10 times less the murder rate than America. If you murder someone in japan and you get out of prison your family will disown you, you are dead to them. Japans culture shames criminals and we need to start doing that.
East St.Louis always gets mentioned in these St.Louis threads. Some people forget that they are in two different states. Illinois is the biological father of East St.Louis but after years of neglect and abuse good hearted Missouri,acting like a stepdad took it under it's wing,we even gave it the name East St.Louis.
