Actually no I did not say all people on welfare are lazy but having to support even 1 lazy person is too much. A lot of them are lazy though. Also note how the government helps keep the cycle. If they work, government takes subsidies and handouts away and even working, they're no further ahead. What do you think a sane person with low skills is going to do? Bust butt and not get ahead or take the free ride and live almost the same lifestyle as they would if working? The government discourages you and the tax payer pays the bill.

Listen carefully. MORE GOVERNMENT means LESS COMPETITION means MORE PROFIT for those at the top, and lower benefits and demand to take care of workers...

Yes hawaiian, it really is that simple..

Yes I've wondered. Are the poor aware of "birth control" or is it cool to have babies from different daddy's. After all, the daddy doesn't have to pay the bill.

Why is a state responsible for an individual's choice? That's a very odd perspective. Well, maybe not for a fascist statist.

uh.. hawaiian by heart, pghquest is right. Less competition means more profit for the surviver. In Obama's world the survivor will be big corporations.

Another example is the little guy takes business away from big business. Obama is doing what he can to knock that competition out. Higher taxes on the little guy while the big business skirts by.

LOL, MTAtech, since obviously understanding birth control is too difficult for them maybe the state should separate the boys from the girls and have a curfew.

"the state" should spend money to teach morals and family value. The girls are too lose and the boys bounce from bed to bed, but lets not talk about that.

The left wing solution, more government..
But without government saying no its not ok to have lil timmy stick his small hands into machinery to loose a bolt that seized up the conveyer line in a manufacturing plant or its not ok to pay people with the company store. Without government, there would be alot of missing hand timmys and the company store would be making mass profit today. Maybe that what conservatives want a weak no government so their masters the corporations can have there charles dickson dream image of life come true.

First, no one is suggesting that we allow people to line up to stick their hands into machinery
and second, lawsuits out the ass reduced companies willingness to manufacture machinery which allowed that to happen.

For gods sakes, just stop with the people will die crap and try to have a serious discussion.

If you LIMIT competition then you LIMIT the options available for safer machinery as well. Your big government babble actually can be very, and often times is, counter productive to the worker, which is what we're seeing today..

Ok you asked for it, you want to know what it will be like without regulations or government? Take a look at corporate america who sent our jobs overseas to countries who have little regulations or government. Look at walmart employees in china for one example, looks like sweatshop conditions of the past. I admire you, I do hope someday we wont need someone telling us what its right or wrong by laws, that we as individuals would do that ourselves
