That's interesting. Reminds me of my college days at Penn in Philadelphia back in the 1960's. We had so many Jewish students that the university gave us all the Jewish holy days off. I certainly don't remember anyone complaining about that! LOL

I guess when you get older you have fewer things to celebrate and more things that bother you...

Now, now. People didn't think like that in those innocent days of yore.

Actually, as I recall, we were just grateful to have more days off to party and have rowbottoms.

Are you addressing me, sir? Or are you just now reacting to yesterday's NFC championship game?

Again, there is not point. Who cares if the rest of the world has off for them?

Hate to break it to you pal, but the people who celebrate Good Friday are in the minority, not the other way around.

Ah, bit if it were a legal holiday, the number of celebrants would mushroom exponentially. It might even include you.

Maybe if a beer company sponsored it. Cinco de Mayo anyone? Or maybe Walmart would turn it into another big sales day, gifts all around. THEN people can fuss about how their holiday is being commercialized.
The war on christmas seems to be dying down, maybe some need a new "war" to fight for their religious beliefs.

78% of Americans are Christians, and higher percentage of that observe the Easter holidays (of which Good Friday) is part of it. You don't need to go to church, but you will have a needed day off from work most likely. Deal?
