Yeah that's what I said I agree it has nothing to do with the minimum wage. Sheetz the big gas station chain like Giant Eagle's GetGo already has touch screen monitors where you order your own food. On top of that from what I understand that pay a decent wage for the type of jobs that are there.

Sooo you want to point to 5 out of many many wage increases...and say that while less then half resulted in X, I totally believe they are the cause of y?

Are you really trying to say that? REALLY?

Do you not recognize the industrial revolution and the computer age has produced jobs as quickly as it eliminates them and is the reason most of us are not one famine away from going hungry today?

Liberals-- do they know anything about history?

I'm guessing you're the stupid one. Since you obviously know nothing about the history of the auto industry. Your statement claimed automation has never eliminated jobs. This is false and there's tons of examples of it. It most surely has, robotics did just for starters. Grow up now k thanks...don't take your lonely Saturday night out on me. We're talking about what happened years and years after the Industrial Revolution.

Seriously, your argument is that we should impoverish people that are working rather then god forbid....making a incredibly profitable company pay them reasonably.
You love taking money from hard working Americans to support the leeches. How can working Americans afford to pay for their own healthcare and also pay for leeches?

Yup, did you also notice that in the years before that a massive bubble from housing prices occurred? I mean...it was in the news and all.

AND the S&L crisis in 81?

Oh...and somehow the increase in minimum wage caused a world wide recession? WOW!

REALITY: Every time we have increased minimum wage there has been no corresponding jump in unemployment or inflation.

But somehow despite dozens of examples....you want to argue this time is different?
When you pay somebody more than they earn, where do you think the money comes from? The tooth fairy? No, it comes from hard working Americans.

No, it's not. Higher labor costs drive employers to seek alternatives such as automation. If labor is cheap, businesses would not be investing billions in automation.
