I can see where the cop would be concerned and fired when the suspect dropped the gun and picked it up while semi facing him, but the last 3 shots were fired while the suspect was running away.

Iirc, it used to be legal to shoot a fleeing suspect, but the court overruled those laws.

True but the first shots came as what it appeared to be the suspects gun falling and him stopping to pick it up while somewhat facing the officer. The shots that followed when the suspect continued running were unnecessary but the suspect brought it upon himself. He was illegally armed and tried to evade.

The cop did fire several warning shots...........into the guys back.

If he's a fleeing suspect with a gun, the law might be on the cop's side. Especially if he made a threat to someone's life before the incident.

I can't tell. Looks like he stops and reaches for something in his socks perhaps? If so the shooting could be justifiable. I need more info whether what it looks like I saw was what I saw.

I just read, this is the second time in less than a year that the officer shot at somebody.
