She is not going to run. Watch and see.
I don't disagree with your overall assessment she was a better candidate seven years ago. Still, if she does decide to run, and I think she will because the establishment will all but force her to, the nomination is hers. The good news for the Republicans is they will know who there opponent is well in advance so can pick their champion accordingly. The bad news for the Republicans is that they're f'ng loonies so far off kilter they'll use this tactical advantage to pick the most bat**** crazy they can find.

National Draft Ben Carson for President Committee

Carson is all over the news...don't know how you could miss him.

Prediction:

Huckabee will not be elected to the US Presidency in 2016, nor will Carson. That goes for Rick Santorum as well.

Isn't Huckabee extremely socially conservative and somewhat fiscally moderate? While that might work for evangelical Christians who aren't really comfortable with making it more difficult for people to obtain help from social programs, I don't think that's really the direction the Republican party is going. They're gradually becoming more socially moderate while tightening down on being fiscally conservative.

You don't remember President Obama making a similar remark and being attacked for it? That clip would come back to haunt Huckabee, not Jon Stewart. Just between us, I don't think that Stewart can really be called "breathtakingly arrogant"...guaranteed, HE remembers the brouhaha when Obama made a similar remark.
It might come back to haunt him among the Elizabeth Warren groupies. LOL. No one else is going to see anything offensive from anyone in that clip other than Jon Stewart.

Agreed. A candidate like Huck -- a committed Christian with weak ties to the business community -- has never been nominated by the GOP. Bush pushed the Christian angle, and I think it was sincere, but really it was his pro-business stances that got him the nomination... the Christian values was just a little window dressing for the cheap seats. Huck's a bit too beholden to concepts like Christian charity to ever really get a second look from the folks who are going to pick the nominee.
