Of course not, you are extremely religious . Your views, and the people you associate with, don't represent the mainstream of society.

Any time anybody says that anything was better in the past, someone always comes along and uses the "but racism!" response.

Yes we have less racism today. We also have more drug use, more crime, worse education, higher unemployment, lower median incomes, more mental illness, more broken families, etc.

I guess it isn't surprising that liberals want to shift focus to one area of culture that is better now than before, but it does get tiresome.

It is actually possible to consider that standards of courtesy were higher in the past without bringing back Jim Crow. Really, I promise that it is.

FOX News Channel's Megyn Kelly hit back at former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who earlier this week complained of how "trashy" women were in New York."
"I do have news for you before I let you go," Kelly jestfully told Huckabee on her show, "The Kelly File," Wednesday night. "We are not only swearing. We're drinking, we're smoking, we're having premarital sex with birth control, before we go to work and sometimes boss around a bunch of men," Kelly, who lives in New York, added.

Perhaps it is done because people with misty colored eyes always think the times in the past were grand for everyone . We never had good education, the crime rate has been dropping for decades, there have always been a lot of broken families, lots of people always used drugs, there was mental illness back then too, and the median income has been flat since the 60s.

All extreme beliefs are bad, whether they originate on the right or left.

People swear too much, men and women. However if he is saying it's fine for men to swear but not women that is misogynist. I once knew a guy who told me "ladies shouldn't swear" and I responded by using a string of cuss word (most had the letter f in them).
