Well, ESPN clearly wants some ratings, as they are giving an award (the Arthur Ashe Courage Award) to "Caitlyn" at the ESPY awards next month. I imagine that it will be one of the first (or maybe even the first) public television appearances that he/she has made since the transformation, so I am sure that it will get huge ratings.
So... um... When he/she gets aroused, will it get wet? There are certain natural things that occur within the female body that....

I'm all for the transgendered doing their thing and being happy with themselves and their lives.
However, if I hear of the now Ms. Jenner one more time I am going to go postal. You know, this sort of thing happens all the time with no fanfare and let's face it; if Mr. Jenner where not associated with the whole Kardashian thing no one would give a hoot about him/now her, either. The headline would simply read "Former Olympian Turns Woman", it would run for one day, and then that would be that.
I'm glad that Jenner can use his/her celebrity to bring attention to the subject, but seriously, it seems like he has been a major news story for like the last two months straight (pun intended); all day, every day.
Oh, to "help" others? I am scratching my head right now. Believe what you will but anyone who didn't grow up watching reality TV shows knows there is an agenda here.
Oh absolutely being altruistic, I'm certain he took no money for the Diane Sawyer interview or the photo spread and article in Vanity fair.
I think in the end Caitlyn/Bruce will realize that it is very hard for a parent to be happy at the expense of their children...the honeymoon phase of this new life will come to an end and she/he will look around at the private pain that was caused to the children and will have to live with that...which if C/B is as great a parent as stated will be no easy task...

Many would say that waiting this long was putting his kids first. They're all adults now (the youngest is 2 months shy of 18 and basically living as an adult anyway). And they all seem to be very supportive. All of the children will be present at the ESPYs
Are you sure? That is a very typical answer when getting into a debate like this. The family is trying to be supportive publicly but it can't be easy to watch your father self-destruct like this. He's also hurting himself, as I don't believe whatever pain or issues that he has will suddenly be fixed by this. Of course, that is my opinion and I am sure that many of you will disagree that he is self-destructing but I don't know any other way to explain what is happening. We live in a very bizarre world.

Sheesh! It's not extraction of an ingrown toenail, folks! This father, brother, male is changing into what he is not: FEMALE! To behave as if it's all perfectly fine, and to insist that his family , friends, etc. should be all hunky dory about it all is just beyond ridiculous!
We can justify and explain away any sort of ailment, mental condition, etc., etc. The facts are still the facts! The guy is abnormal in his thinking/mental faculties, and needs that addressed----- NOT to be put in a DRESS!
It may not be easy to watch their father go through this, but from what I can see he's still a supportive parent who loves his kids and wants what is best for them and that is what counts the most. That's a lot more than most kids get from their parents. He can still be a good parent even if he's wearing a dress now. I suppose the easy way to explain something you don't understand is to say that person is abnormal or self-destructing. How about some empathy?
