Williams deserved to be fired but I would say that the largest lies reside with the Bush Administration, Rumsfeld, Cheney, ..... take your pick. This is small game by comparison
Nobody holds a candle to liar Obama. He is the greatest Liar President in the history of our country. Yes, this is small game compared to Liar Obama.
So, Williams is liar.
Who ELSE in the main stream media is lying?
Why so much lying? Are they trying to make themselves look better and their enemies look worse?
The purported job of the media is to be a "watch-dog" AGAINST the government, not a watch-dog FOR the government.
We all know that the government is packed full with liars.
Now we know that there is NO honesty or TRUTH in reporting at all, if there ever really was.
It's all slick, well staged, photo-shopped LIES designed to further dubious non-free-standing political objectives.
The usual Leftists here are avoiding this topic. It's the most talked about story they wish would go away.
They want the thread to drop off the first page.
Obumma's mouthpieces at NBC are in deep shilt. This will destroy their ratings and spread to the other liberal - fawning news sources. Stay tuned.
Williams is being skewered with photo shop pics and wild claims about his experiences. The guy is officially done. In a way, too bad but we need to get back to actual unbiased professionalism in journalism which was not seen for decades.

The next six months is Lester Holt's audition reel. If he keeps NBC at (or very near) the top of the Nielsens, Williams will become a faint memory to Comcast's executives. I suspect NBC viewers will be loyal enough to keep Holt in the running. That means Williams is out of a job, but may get to keep his $50 million.
If the ratings for NBC news plummet, Holt goes back to weekends and NBC can rightfully blame Williams for the damage he did to their reputation as they search for a permanent replacement. In this scenario, Williams is not only jobless, but they may seek legal action to invalidate his recently-signed contract worth around $50 million. I'm sure there are some clauses about personal misconduct that causes the company financial harm.
Either way, Williams' last broadcast on NBC was Friday, February 6th. I don't see how he can ever be taken seriously again.
Is there any TV talking head you can take seriously?
I have to admit, that's more than I expected. I can't feel bad for the network though as they knew he was lying all along.
"as they knew he was lying all along" And HAS BEEN doing so for years about other things, and they knew it.
Some look at MSMBC and say it is an anomaly but, as they say "The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree"
