It's nothing more than deflection and making excuses for radical Islamic terrorism (something he can't even bring himself to say) plaguing the world today. It's appalling and cowardly. The great divider still dividing. How unpresidential...
I think the point is not to paint Islam in general as being complicit in the activities of terrorists. I don't remember widespread demands for soul-searching among Christians after the Atlanta Olympics and other bombings perpetrated by the Army of God, for example. America as a national institution is pro-Islam.

The fact he feels the need to put Christians in their place (why?) at a prayer breakfast is beyond bizarre. Says a lot about him, his core beliefs, his upbringing and his view of the world.
After seeing how Muslims act now, no wonder our predecessors had to institute an Inquisition to deal with it...looks like we'll need to do somethign similar in our future as well.

This has been rather obvious for years; he's just doubling down now.
Dear Leader is not lying. The problem is that he has no moral authority with which to make these types of speeches and have them mean anything. Well other than being half black.

Yes, but I find this context particularly galling in light of the recent actions of certain muslims. If he doesn't want to use a prayer breakfast as an opportunity to call on the muslim world for change, or even to address those terrorists doing those acts - fine.
Why even discuss it at all? But no, the great wise one has to put Christians in their place.
